We are a new National Plus School in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. The school is located in a well-known housing area, Kemang Pratama, an hour drive from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. The school was opened in 1998 with 30 children in a 3 to 4 year old program. The school, at present, has 160 children up to the Yr1 level and in 2003 will have a Yr2 class. The plan is to expand to a complete Primary School facility (Yr 1 to 6) and possibly continue through to Yr9 and beyond. A new building is at present under construction to allow for the growth. Stage One will be completed for the students of the Year 1 and 2 classes to begin in the new school year. Victory Plus School is non-denominational and respects all religions. The families come from different parts of Indonesia, as well as from a number of other countries, which include Japan, Korea and Australia.

English is the main language of communication used at the school. A distinctive curriculum is at present being developed that builds on the Indonesian national education requirements with international schooling information and awareness. A 'student-centered / enquiry' approach to learning is being used at Victory. In addition, the school has programs for the early years of learning that include Preschool and Kindergarten. A combination of the Montessori and Indonesian conventional teaching methods, similar to the approach of other Early Childhood Education programs, is being used.
