Position/duties: Teach at Kids International School, develop curricula and
educational materials, attend meetings, make class-reports, and participate
in cultural events.

Special skills/requirements: Native English speakers sought, some
understanding of Japanese preferred. Interest in working with young children
(aged 2-6) a must. Some experiences with toddlers preferred. Ability to work
independently and in cooperation with staff. Willingness to adapt to and
enjoy a different way of life. Class-organizing skill. Good singing voice.
Outgoing and friendly personality.

Position begins: As soon as possible.

Must applicant currently reside in Japan? : No

Hours/week: 38 hours including teaching and office working, excluding
commuting hours. Every other Saturday and every Sunday off.
*Monday thr. Friday: 9:00-17:00 (School closes at 2:30 p.m.)
*Every other Saturday: 9:30-14:30

Salary: 250,000 yen/month, 3,000,000 yen/year (less deductions for
income tax).

University degree(s) REQUIRED: BA

Subject/specialization: Early Child Education given from the colleges or
universities in the U.S, Canada or Australia.

Professional certification REQUIRED: Teaching

Experience required: Teaching experience to young children (kindergarten,
elementary school children) is required.

Applicant's visa status: Will sponsor, will renew.

Housing assistance is: Provided

Rooming an apartment with other teachers.
The monthly rent is 40,000 yen excluding the utilities.
One private room (6 tatami mats size) furnished is provided.

Position includes : Paid holidays, travel allowance, paid vacation

Contract information: 1 year, renewable

Kids International School opened in 1997. KIS is an English Immersion
preschool, located in Nagakute-cho, the suburb of Nagoya-city, center of
Japan It was founded to provide your child a wonderful opportunity for
international awareness at an early age in a warm, safe, and positive
environment.

We have three classes: 1) 4-5 years old class, 2) 3 years old class, and 3)
2 years old class. There are 6-12 children in one class from Japan, Canada
and other European countries.

In April, 2001, we opened a new school building in Nagakute-cho, Aichi-gun.

In 2003, we had four foreign teachers from Australia, Canada, the UK and the
US.
